What is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic disease that usually starts between the ages of 20-40, is seen in young adults, mostly affects the white matter of the brain and spinal cord, affects the immune system and causes clinical problems as a result.

Findings in

The essential feature of the disease is forgetfulness. Any forgetfulness in old age deserves consideration. The important thing is to distinguish between natural old age forgetfulness and forgetfulness that is a symptom of disease. This distinction includes the patient's examination, the information given by the patient's relatives, and the neuropsychological evaluation that evaluates the brain functions.

How Is

Although a patient is said to have epilepsy if they have two or more unprovoked seizures at least 24 hours apart, the diagnosis of epilepsy usually requires a thorough neurological examination, blood tests, and various tests to detect abnormalities.

How Should

If the patient's pain is seen once or twice a month, treatment is recommended only during the attack. In this case, it is necessary to take treatment before the pain gets worse. If the frequency of pain is higher, a treatment called prophylaxis that will reduce the frequency and severity of attacks and prevent pain should be planned.
